Cramer week ahead: Wednesday's Federal Reserve decision will let bulls 'party'

Wall Street’s recent gains could continue into next week depending on the Federal Reserve’s actions, CNBC’s Jim Cramer reported Friday.

“A decision not to raise rates could show too much weakness. A quarter-point would allow the bulls to feast on the fact that they would be cautious,” he said.

The Fed is set to wrap up its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, which Wall Street largely expects will lead to a quarter-percentage-point interest rate hike.

Cramer said he will also keep an eye on the January nonfarm payrolls report due out on Friday. “If wage inflation is very strong, a quarter-point move will be criticized. If it’s weak, we’ll be asking about that hard landing,” he said.
