Amy Winehouse Fans who have seen PO’d Marisa Abela Those in costume for biopics won’t be happy with this latest update, ’cause it’s a bit more…
TMZ obtained the photos taken in London on Sunday afternoon, where the actress was in full costume portraying the late singer. As you probably already know, Marisa was tapped to star in Emmy — but people online are crying foul over it being a complete mistake.
Given the rave reviews the early set photos have received over the past few weeks, you might have thought the studio would make changes to Marisa’s makeup or something else — but alas, as seen in these images, they’re making progress. What did they get here?
It’s unclear what kind of scene they filmed — but onlookers tell us it looked like Amy’s on-screen dad Eddie Marsan was dropping her off at a rehab center. Backlash over Marissa’s performance continues to swirl in the making of the movie — apparently, MA doesn’t look like Amy … and says the real Amy Winehouse’s own father It’s not a big deal All in all, it won’t satisfy die-hard fans.
It’s a bit weird that everyone is so mad at the fact that Marissa isn’t a dead ringer for Amy. To be honest, Hollywood has a habit of casting actors who don’t look like the iconic musicians they play, especially as of late. Austin Butler Averted, of course.

Bottom line… Marisa still has the power to impress everyone, so we’ll just have to wait and see what the cast holds when ‘Back to Black’ finally hits theaters.
In the meantime, let your all go Lady Gaga Dreams, people — coulda, woulda, shoulda … but it wasn’t like that. Give Marissa a chance!
