AXA XL Risk Consulting has announced it has expanded its team in the US with six new employees to help businesses in the region more effectively manage their business risks.
Chief among the new hires is Grace Torres-Valtierra, who will serve AXA Head of South Central Regional Engineering for XL Risk Consulting in Dallas. She joined AXA XL FM Global, where she was most recently an accounting engineer. Torres-Valtierra has 15 years of consulting experience, particularly for clients in the pulp and paper, molten metals, power generation and manufacturing industries when it comes to mitigating natural hazards and equipment breakdown risks.
Along with Torres-Valtierra, AXA XL has welcomed the following as Risk Consultants to the Risk Consulting Group:

- Brian Ziskowski has over 20 years of fire prevention experience and joins AXA XL from TUV SUD Global Risk Consultants. He is based in Columbus, OH.

- Alan Broadus recently worked as a technical consultant before joining AXA XL. He has worked with FM Global and Hartford Steam boiler. Broadus was a Navy veteran and served as a nuclear engine mate and engineering laboratory technician.

- Peter Sam, who lives in Vancouver, BC, has over 20 years of risk consulting experience. He joined FM Global in Hong Kong in 2003 and later moved to AXA XL as a Field Engineer. His experience includes pulp and paper, food, cement, automobile, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, high-rise buildings, ports, combustible dusts, water damage, wind and more. He moved from Hong Kong to Vancouver in 2022.

- Walid Mansouri joins AXA XL’s Americas team after relocating from Paris to Montreal. He has worked as a risk consultant since 2018 supporting the risk assessment and loss prevention needs of European and US clients. Before becoming a risk consultant, Mansouri was a graduate student at Polytech Annecy Chambery and spent five years as an officer in the Gendarmerie. National.

Earlier this month, AXA XL promoted Cheri Hanes As vice president, head of innovation and sustainability for its construction insurance business in North America. Hanes succeeds Ross Hall, who was promoted last October to lead the US Office of Innovation.
